DIY: meme's candle jar
Today I'm going to show you a new DIY, that was requested.
I often save the glass jars that most candles come in. They can be used for so much. Someone requested that I show you how to add meme's to it to make it more fun. This is a very simple DIY and could be done for a Christmas gift, or used for you own purposes.
Now I did mine with Magazine pages only because I wanted it to look nice and I do not have colored ink at the moment. But I have done this project with paper and it works just as well.
WHAT YOU NEED:
-Candle Jar
-Mod Podge
-Scissors
-Meme's or pictures of your choice
-Paint brush or sponge
-Newspaper
HOW TO DO IT:
1. First Gather your tools and find a comfy place to do this craft.
2. Next cut your pictures/Meme's so that they will fit around your candle jar.
3. Using your sponge or brush, Paint a small spot on your jar (as thin and even as possible) with the mod podge, just large enough for your picture. (you can also paint the back of your picture which is what I did.
4. Continue doing this until your jar is covered.
5. Now you may have noticed that it slightly wrinkles in places. Don't worry as it drys this goes away.
6. Wait about an hour until the mod podge has dried.
7. Mod podge is a sealer, so now take your sponge or brush and paint a thin coat all over the entire jar.
8. You can repeat step seven a second time if you think it needs it. Let dry.
9. Now enjoy!
Hope this helps, If you have any other request let me know. Id be happy to do them!!
