July 2013 Birchbox

I haven't blogged about a birchbox in a while. To be quite honest I have not been impressed with them. Because of that i just havent felt the need to blog about them.
However this month was a bit surprising. I still wouldn't say its up to par with my first couple boxes but much better then the past few. So heres what I got.

1. The color club nail polish in London Calling.  (for a pack of four minis: $8.00)

 This nail polish is amazing. its such a unique color. Its a neon mint. Its a bit streaky at application so the best way to apply it is to do a thin layer of the polish. then do a coat of matte topcoat and then do your second coat. (letting each coat dry in between.)

2. The modle co. Party proof matte lipstick in Peony.(Full size: $19.00)

 This is by far my new favorite lipstick. Its incredible. It is a matte formula but its not at all drying. the color is opaque (the above picture is one swipe) but you can blot it down to a more stained effect. I love love love the color. its so fun. This will be my new go to lipstick with a neutral eye.

3.Bobby Pins. (pack of six $5.00)

 These bobby pins are a birchbox design. They are bigger then normal bobby pins. they are a cute little addition to my summer wardrobe. they just add a pop.

4. Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin cream. (Full Size: $48.00)

 They say ceramidin is what your skin is missing if you have dry skin. This cream is supposed to add it back so you get a more natural hydration. I like they way my skin has been sense using this. but this product is rather expensive. It also has a very herbal-y scent, that i just don't like.

5.  Caudalie Divine legs (full size: $38.00)

This is really fun. It is kind of like a self tanner but not. It gives you the color and glow of a self tanner but washes off with soap and water. You apply it much like a self tanner. I did this on my legs (Bare in mind I have gohstly white legs). and it gave me a nice golden color after 2 coats. It also does not cantaiin any of the harmful chemicals most self tanners do.
I personally hate self tanners. I never get a good application with them, my legs are always left blotchy. Then I am stuck with that for a few weeks. It sucks. This comes out a deep bronze color and as you rub it in the color is there so no blotchy-ness. this is a bit pricy but would be so fun for a special event (wedding, Birthday, ect.)
