Highlighters!

The other day I was asked about highlighters. I decided it would be good to write a post on this in case anyone Else had questions! I hope this helps a bit and feel free to ask any additional questions you may have.
First really quickly we should talk about 2 points. 1. There are 2 forms of highlighters. Powders and liquids/cremes. This is a bit of a preference thing, but i suggest you base it on your skin type. If you are oily/combo use a powder. If your dry use the liquid or creme. (I however like both so i vary). 2. There are 2 general colors in highlighters. 1 is pink which usually looks better on light-med skin tones. and the other is gold which looks better on darker skin tones. However these are just to help you get started! Wear whatever makes you happy. :)
The first highlighter I want to talk about is benefits Girl meets pearl. this is a liquid highlighter. It is a pink highlighter that is very pretty. When blended in gives you a gorgeous glow. I enjoy this one. It has pretty good staying power. Its not overly shimmery which is good especially for people with mature skin. It will not accentuate pores or lines.

The next one i want to talk about is also from benefit. Its Watts up. This one is also a liquid...but its in a stick form. This one is a gold color. In my opinion its a bit sheer. But is build able. Gives a great glow!!!
Now for a few powders. This next one I am going to talk about is the most highly shimmery. Its a bit harder to work with. However I find it great for Going out at night. Now the problem is this is no longer available but i will give you a dupe! Its Victoria's secret candlelight. Its absolutely beautiful. It is not for mature skin or people with large pores.  The dupe is cover girls eyeshadow in champagne.

I have another powder. Its pixies second star to the right. This is a gold powder. Very pretty. The applicator is a pain to work with though. You have to keep building it to get a good glow. Its not near as shimmery as the vs one. Its good for mature skin or people with pore. (Just be careful!)

Now, This one is marketed as a bronzer. But its light enough to use as a highlight if done right. Its physicians Formula shimmer strips in Miami strip. the top color is a pinky color. The next color is a light gold color. You can use them separate or you can mix them and you get the most amazing glow. :)
The next one is hard Candy's glow all the way in doll face. This one is a pink liquid. I love it. Its my favorite because its so perfect. Its a little shimmery. But also just gives you that perfectly lite look. They also have another glow all the way in a gold color ( I think its called amazon). I have not tried that one, but would like to.

The last one I will talk about is Maybellines Age rewind treatment concealer in #06 brightener. Its just a pink liquid that has no shimmer and gives you that perfectly lite look. It is the best for mature skin and pores.

Last I would just like to give a quick mention to MACS minerilized skin finish. They are all great. I don't own any but hope to one day get one. My favorite is soft and gentle. its extremely shimmery though so beware.

Whats your favorite highlighter?
